Reproductive Freedom Caucus Co-Chairs Denounce Trump Administration's Assault on Health Care

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Congressional Reproductive Freedom Caucus (RFC) Co-Chairs Reps. Diana DeGette (CO-01) and Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) released the following statement on the Trump administration’s funding freeze affecting tens of millions of dollars in Title X Family Planning Program funding, including Planned Parenthood funding:

“Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and their yes-men were never going to stop at abortion. But now the writing is on the wall. 

They are going after birth control. They are going after cancer screenings. They are going after health centers that offer essential, lifesaving services, stripping those communities of health care access. Never mind that Title X serves millions of people each year, with a bipartisan track record of over 50 years. In Trump’s America, it does not matter how many people get hurt as long as his extremist agenda moves ahead. 

When they come for your health care, we fight back harder. And this administration will be held accountable for the consequences of their reckless actions.”
