House Democrats reintroduced a bill Thursday that would reverse the Hyde Amendment, a provision that bans federal funding for most abortions.
On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court made one of the most consequential decisions in its history. By overturning Roe v. Wade, the highest court in our land not only threw out nearly 50 years of its own precedent, but it also—for the first time—took away a constitutional right from the American people. Multiple Democratic lawmakers were arrested at an abortion rights rally near the Capitol on Tuesday, less than one month after the Supreme Court issued a ruling that reversed Roe v. Wade.
